Explorations of time and space: The Healing Connection

The quarterly retreat for this fall, held Saturday in the beautiful sanctuary in Menlo Park, yet again reached beyond our limits into the amazing and miraculous. It has been postulated by mathematics that 23 dimensions exist in our universe, of which only twelve have been verified by modern science and four are readily perceivable in our physical experience. As quantum and relativistic planes interact, we are able to experience and observe the ordinary and extraordinary phenomena of life on a continuum constrained only by our mind and physicality. And so the doctrine holds: faith becomes belief, belief develops into trust; trust evolves into magic; magic enhances to become miracles; and miracles give birth to wizardry.
The tangible tool that we used in the playground first appears in Rhaman text some 5 thousand years ago and has since stood the test of time with its simplicity and effectiveness: “Merkaba”
– Mir meaning “light” in Egyptian and Hebrew,
– Ka meaning spirit, and
– Ba meaning body
Thus Mer-Ka-Ba is the illumination of spirit and body.
In practice the merkaba meditation can be used to clear the electro-magnetic, emotional and physical space around and within us. By the very nature of the right-hand rule and the gravitational pull of the Earth, our electromagnetic field becomes oval. Just like in the eye of a hurricane, inside the outer layer of turbulent flow a region of stillness and clarity is created. This zone provides the space for intentions to be manifested.
It is from such a clear space that healing can be performed. The example I will site, being close to my heart, is the healing of the visual pathway. Using the Egyptian practice of the feather of light with what I call palming, the optical pathway from eyelid to visual cortex is cleansed, healed and relaxed by the flow of energy through the nerves and brain. As a merkaba is run down each of the optic nerves, it activates the neural signals and clears blockages inhibiting the electromagnetic flow. Lastly, bringing the focus back to the physical realm, reflexology of the hand and foot affirms the physical blockages between the eyes, pituitary and visual cortex through the pressure points at the base of the middle finger, pointer finger and thumb and the tips of these fingers.
Not only does this meditation induce a more relaxed state of being, it helps to reset the templates that cause us to interpret our visual signals a certain, often filtered, way. The result? The world became noticeably brighter and clearer than before.
