All and all today is deemed a terrific Tuesday. With a solution to be found, I spent the bulk of the day working away on the RDBMSPI interface, the program that takes data from a relational database, in this case Access, and puts it into PI. The source of the problem with running RDBMSPI was identified to be the database link through the Windows ODBC. So today I successfully found the Windows Database configuration tool and configured a link from the Access program to the example RDBMSPI Access database. Then the issue became automating the configuration of this database link and deploying the setup on foreign systems for testing…more to come there.
The evening finished off with a great night in San Francisco. If you haven’t tried out Tadich Grill on 240 California Street you should. Also good was Pinocchios’s for their nice atmosphere, great service and good (if not pricy) dessert.
