Rock Rumble and Roll

Two decades back on this day,
History was made in the bay,
When I went in that night before,
To find out what had caused the sore.
For little did we foresee back then,
How life would never be the same again.
As rock and rumble moved and quaked,
All cars and trucks slammed on their breaks,
Buildings swayed and bridge did break,
While peacefully asleep I laid.
Yet wonder of life continued on,
From out of rubble we came out strong.
Two new friends came in to be,
But only years later would I come to know thee.
Since that day of history shaking,
Many miracles have been in the making.
So look now forward to future past,
And count our blessings from first to last.
For despite the feats of daily grind,
Be reminded the bright sun shines!
