A Happy Friday the 13th to All
Some will say such a day as Friday the 13th is a supersticious day, like the ides of March or Halloween, yet with a more pronounced, auspicious nature. Others claim any Friday falling on the 13th day of a month is to be dreaded for its likelihood for bringing bad luck.
Answer though why such stigma has been attributed to F13? Surely Fridays are usually considered the good and favorable day of the week, when all are excited for a weekend of fun ahead. Afterall, is not Good Friday in March or April (depending on the moon’s calendar) one of the holy days of the year? Furthermore, the number 13 represents the number of lives a cat is said to have, hence a rather lucky number. It happens to be the 7th prime number, which by the virtue of seven should make it the lucky prime. Thirteen shows up in US art and various public settings as well. But most interesting of all is the fact that Jesus and his disciples numbered 13 collectively.
Enjoy this fine day!
