Despite the calamity of yesterday and Saturday, spirits were high in the cozy suite. Mom baked the first batch of Ahmish Friendship bread as a delicious banana bread. My class development progressed nicely. Best of all, I found a new pair of cross-country / snow shooing boots from Paco’s Bike and Ski in Truckee. Tomorrow will be initiation day. A victorious Pinochle game, tradition al banana cream pie and interesting civil war documentary put a cap on the fine day.
