The Computer Daemons Strike in Force

Today the forces seem to aligned to bring out the computer daemons. The morning started with Visual Studio locking up in an endless test run, withoug giving any indication of where it was stuck. Despite all the debug log messages included for such a bug, only quail chirped. That was fine because the code debugger was designed to step through and reveal such issues. Today was not the day to attempt a debug session either. The shark flatly stated that no support was given to the VS2010 debugger control. Beautiful Microsoft. Still, the morning was looking relatively optimistic. What started heightening the irritation gage was Internet Explorer acting up on all machines. Yes, installing FireFox is overdue. By mid-afternoon, despite a delightful lunch outing, the boiler was reaching red. So the cafe was supposed to be the retreat to set things straight and get productive work done on the note taker. Instead, the note taker was killed! Sitting in a new spot is not a good idea when you want to spread out and work in parallel. Over the edge…bang boom crunch..no response. That was the final straw. Fortunately all is backed up as of Friday and my walking buddy happened to be there for a nice walk. Fortunately daemon days are short lived. Unfortunately cleaning up from them is not. Now the daemon fault measure is bumped to 11.
