This morning I woke suddenly just before 5 o’clock. I started my day at 5:30. I could hardly believe my ears when the scale announced my weight dropped to levels not heard for perhaps 15 years. Just in the last eight hours I shed two pounds. There is nothing like a bug to help slim down. Plus, yesterday I was very satisfied with the meals I ate.
I did feel better this morning after a good night sleep. My body had a few mild aches as I lay. There was a tinge of chest and back irritation. My temperature felt normal but should be taken again. The question that remains to be seen is whether my stamina has returned. I wonder if the virus I am fighting is causing me to burp so much? Empirical evidence would say yes but the causality is still suspect. With a rosy prospect in the morning, I planned to give work a go for the morning and see how far I got. Writing first thing was promising for technical design later. Yet by early afternoon, I wearied of work. At a quarter after 4 I crashed for a nap. Dinner had no appeal so I skipped food entirely. Listening to the local BPAC meeting and Hemingway documentary was the right level of activity.
