The race is off and who will win? Hopefully everyone but seldom does this actually occur. For the month of June is a reckoning time for all those last bugs and features which could be included in the next PI release. So roll up those sleeves and get ready to rumble…its testing time. The first target is the com connector, a handy little app that takes many forms according to the end-user. Fortunately it was on good behavior and did not need any scolding. Next comes the backup system. Here we find ourselves returning to the second thread which took second stage: the birds. Come to find out, Windows XP is not ideal for the sort of testing needed; rather, we need the top of the line. [GERHARD] to the rescue. The accommodating test machine is willing to be bombarded not only with VM’s but now also quails and owls. The end result of course may be more involved; however automation is the eventuality any how. With the archive already quailified, with any luck, the backup can be done just as smoothly. So its good progress has continued between the cracks towards 1.1. The biggest excitement was implementing the methods for shutdown, restart and network disabling (and if you insist, enabling too). Slick!
Meanwhile, the tri on the tee made headway with me. Sometimes the brew needs time to mature before its just right. How true this is for our stories. All the backlog and sprint items associated with the proposed scrum model for the access initiative finally jelled this week. In passing, its interesting to note that Microsoft has quite a nice collection of these so-called product validation documents. Taken from a different light, there’s much similarity to the universal standards.
With another week up and only the die-hards left, the trio can take their own vacation for the weekend. The race will no doubt continue first thing Monday. If only those orientation class folks had an inkling of the fun we’re having upstairs…=).
