Sliding through the meadow

The second ski outing was again beautiful, with bright sun beaming through a snowy mist and a strong wind blowing to cool off the heat of the day perfectly. Since the groomers were out, our path detoured around the parking lot, by Squaw Creek, to the kids sledding area and converted movie theater and then back to Red Dog, Search Light, KT22 and the much modified/renovated gondola. It was fun to see the gondola cars race in and out of the loading dock. But despite all the upgrades and enhancements Alex has made to the lifts, it’s never going to be as good as days past unless the colored cars are brought back. All was so familiar and yet different. After a morning of batch class development, a slide in the snow was wonderful. The boots unfortunately needed more breaking in and adjustment to make them comfortable. Keep fingers crossed that the 47’s will not need returning. Sweet dreams for a winter wonderland on #300!
