A day of remembrance, a day of history. How much has happened in ten years since Ludwick’s garden stroll when the fate of the world changed? Every so often we must take a moment to reflect, to honor and mourn, to rejoice in the gift of life. There is no better way to do so than through artistic expression and Earthly connection.
As the waning summer sun danced above, I dusted off the supplies from deep below and set up shop on the patio. There Staphan and I relished in the fun of painting. Pastels are such a fun medium and yet it has been a good long while since the chalk was out.. The beauty comes through the experience of creation and the subsequent interpretation of the form; in this case one can only call it abstract art.
Afterwards, the garden continued its prolific production. Today’s harvest yielded another 21 Roma, 42 cherry and 94 pare tomatoes! Canning time is calling.
