Spring is in the air and the Earth is pulsing with new life. During a month away, the winter garden went bananas. Yet we knew the bolting collards had to go. All week the anticipation has mounted for the first planting after the rototiller leveled the soil. Green and yello beans were the first to go in next to the grape arbor. After our weekly walk we conveniently swung by Home Depot for 14 vegetable plants. Today after concrete demolision, the little plants went into the dirt. With 4 tomatoes, egg plant, cucumber, basil and zucchini planted, we are inspired to sew the squash, carrot, beet and more basil. Keep an eye out for them sprouting.
