This week Planet Coffee was discovered nestled in the heart of downtown San Leandro. This gem of a caf\u00e9 has been a diamond in the rough for all these months. Only now, thanks to Ahmid, the 5 star restaurants are found. Thank goodness friends have birthdays! Now we have a new favorite lunch spot when the caf\u00e9 gets on our nerves and another top pick for a healthy dinner out. Don\u2019t be deceived by the name because in addition to coffee, tea and the standard coffee house beverages and bakery goods, Planet Coffee features a tremendous selection, including a full vegetarian menu and variety of fresh blended smoothie choices. The atmosphere is great for a group and the folks there are extremely helpful and accommodating. What a refreshing change of pace Planet Coffee is from the over-abundant chain restaurants and souped-up lipstick shops all too prevalent. The availability of an accessible menu and restroom will have to be checked next time. What is clear is the accessible eating area.<\/p>\n
